FMC is always looking at trying to help with both local and international ministries

Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) –
WMU has helped Southern Baptists fulfill the Great Commission since 1888. Our dedicated group of ladies that participate in this group at always looking to find ways to ministry to peoples needs. From making blankets for children in area hospitals, collecting needed items to provide Missionaries, collecting items to provide to the Doorways, providing purses filled with personal items for ladies in the homeless shelter. This group stays involved. If you are interested in helping contact the church and our church assistant will get you to the correct person.

Varina Food Bank –
Four Mile Creek helps sponsor this mission both in financial donations and providing food items. The food bank distributes food to assist families in need of assistance on the first and third Monday of every month. The food distribution center is located at the Varina Episcopal Church. Eastern Henrico Fish –
Provides local residents encountering financial difficulties with emergency rent, mortgage and utility assistance. Four Mile Creek helps sponsor this mission with financial donations as well as participation in several fundraising events like the Spaghetti and BBQ dinners that is hosted thought out the year. Operations Shoe Box –
Delivers great joy and the Good News of Jesus to children in need around the world. Gift-filled shoes boxes are packed full of quality toys, school supplies, and personal care items which becomes a tangible expression of God’s love. Items are collected all year long and a packaging party is hosted in November.
